There is so much great content out there, and since there's also a LOT of content out there it's sometimes easy to miss the really stellar posts. Every day we bloggers give pieces of ourselves to the blogosphere. This feature is my way of showing my appreciation for your efforts and to thank-you all for supporting mine.

After much consideration (and procrastination), I am finally outta here! Not forever, but for a while. I may - because I lack self-control - be checking in, but if anyone asks, I'm not here!

The plan is to return in the fall. That should give me a few months to deal with the news of our son's illness and rearrange our lives accordingly. Plus, the best months of the year are upon us - time to play!

"Pause" A very special guest post from Cookie's Aunt

You may have noticed a sharp decline in the frequency of my posts of late. That's because life is happening here and I need to attend to it. In the meantime, I have a very special guest post for you today from my sister, otherwise known as Cookie's Aunt.

My sister - like myself, perhaps - does not always recognize her own talents. She is an accomplished seamstress. At least, that is my view, though she will scoff at the idea.

Well, just look at the graduation dress she made for her daughter and tell me I am wrong:

I mean, really! I am ever in awe of her skills with fabric and thread (the irony of which will become clear after reading my sister's story).

"And so without further gilding the lily and with no more ado..." (that's a quote from A Knight's Tale, a movie I highly recommend, by the way), I give you, Cookie's Aunt.
