Beautiful pictures! I love butterflies, they are so graceful. A couple of months ago, my daughter was able to watch them go through metamorphosis at her school and she loved it!
I love the top picture especially! I saw a butterfly late last week and tried to get Li'l D's attention only to discover he'd fallen asleep. *shakes fist* Next time, I'll get to soak up his wonder . . . I mean, next time he'll get to see that butterfly! 0:)
Thanks ladies! It's fun to watch the kids chase the butterflies. These pictures were taken at the zoo - that fabulous buffet was provided by the butterfly keepers. Jack got to watch larvae become butterflies this year also. Too fun!
Theresa, no these are not in my garden. These were at the zoo in a lovely greenhouse - steamy and tropical! I think I may have found a new hangout for the winter months!
Shanda, they sure are quick little things, aren't they? It's near impossible to capture their beauty with still photography.
My tattoo is a butterfly. I got it after my divorce. I loved the fact that something so beautiful can be born from something so ugly. These are beautiful pictures. :)
Beautiful pics! I love butterfly pics -- once, when my hubby and I were first dating, we went to a butterfly exhibit and he took an AMAZING closeup of a butterfly on a flower. I've been trying to duplicate it for 10 years, with no luck! LOL
I'm dropping in from the voiceBoks members to remember and following! Hope you get a chance to visit me too! I write a humorous blog about motherhood at Misadventures in Motherhood. It's usually good for a laugh, and maybe even a snort or two! Looking forward to reading more from you!
