Ode to Summer

Fall is upon us now. The winds are stronger. The leaves are changing colours and falling at my feet. Still, there are moments of warmth from the sun that remind me of days not too far behind.

Please enjoy this ode to summer, and then come link up your favourite summer memories with Stasha of North West Mommy.

  5. Thank-you ladies! I love that last picture too, Barb and Rory. It represents the opposite of what my son is most of the time... moving... at full speed.

Stasha, it just might be that their moms love hats too! Might have possibly influenced them just a tiny bit? Love this hat in particular, which Jack actually picked out himself.

Pizza on the BBQ is super delicious. If you want to try to book that my friend gave me it is called "Pizza on the Grill: 100 Feisty Fire-Roasted Recipes for Pizza & More". Everyone that has tried this pizza has said it is the best pizza they have ever had. That's high praise!

  6. Awesome! That looks so fun. Especially nice to see this today as it's pouring rain and windy here.

  7. Thanks Robin. Sorry to hear it's pouring and windy there! If it makes you feel any better, though it is currently absolutely gorgeous here, it may, in fact, snow any day now. :)

  9. Hmm, I'm not sure what looked more delicious? That grilled pizza or the mac & cheese topped hot dog.
    Looks like an awesome summer!

I like the soccer pic best. It looks like he's hatching a soccer ball. (-:

  12. Jen, I think we will still be grilling our pizza through the colder months... just so long as it isn't snowing! It's just that good.

  13. @ Jackie, it's definitely a toss up. That mac 'n cheese hot dog was soooo good.

@Ado, thanks for that compliment. That means a lot to me - I try! You have the funniest comments - "hatching a soccer ball" indeed!

@Kiddothings, I highly recommend the mac 'n cheese dog.

    @Rach, thanks. I think it's kind of adorable myself. : >

  20. I agree with Barbara--that last picture is just priceless! I love the soccer ball one as well.

I can't wait until Li'l D's first "real" water slide experience. He went down a five-footer a couple months back (loved it!), but I want to see his thrill at the twists and turns.

    :D

Thank-you, Erica! I had a pretty photogenic subject for most of them. :)

Deb, there's nothing like the smile on your own kid when they are experiencing complete joy!
