Mama Teach Me:
Garden Friends

Today Bruna at Bees With Honey has invited me back to participate in her Mama Teach Us feature.

Mama Teach Us

Jack has an interest in bugs and gardening, so I decided to teach him about some of the beneficial critters in our garden. Click here to read about our adventures in the garden and to meet this guy:

Isn't he BEEautiful?

  3. Sue, that is so cool that you are teaching Jack about the garden and bugs! Love your worm farm also! You are only a short time away from having pet snakes and lizards in an aquarium for Jack, just wanted to warn you!

  4. Totally enjoyed this. I really like the worm farm idea. I tried starting one here with my son, but the geckos and rats kept eating them =(

  6. @Kim, @Linda and @Rachel, thanks for your continued support and for your comments!

Linda, I'm okay with snakes and lizards, so long as they aren't poisonous. What *I* really want Jack to want is a turtle! They are so cute. And there's something about how slow they move that brings me a sense of calm. Ohm.

Now rats, on the other hand, kind of freak me out. Anything that small and furry and fast kind of freaks me out.

  7. Turtles are awesome. I always stop and pick them up when I see them crossing the road and let them to in my back yard! Sometimes I see them again, but I think they can get under the fence and be on their way. Some I have found buried in the dirt (not too deep) trying to escape the heat. I love turtles!
