I'm linking up again this week with Project Alicia, Bumbles and Light and Live and Love Out Loud for the Shades of Autumn Photo Challenge.
I don't want to jinx it or anything, but we really should be seeing snow any day now. I heard rumours of it in the north end of the city a couple of days ago. We have temps of -7°C (~19°F) in the morning and highs of at most 10°C (~50°F) right now. It's starting to get chilly and the wind is lifting the last of the leaves from the trees. But it's still beautiful and when the snow does fly that will be beautiful too.
Until then, let's pay homage to colour red.
I'll miss you, autumn! You are truly majestic.
I love the colors of fall and I can't believe people are already getting snow. It's been in the 20s here the last couple of days and it's killed my garden.
ReplyDeleteJessica, my garden is done too. The last of the vegetables were harvested a couple of weeks ago. Sigh - months of lousy, expensive produce ahead of me.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! LOVE the second one!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful series of fall color!
ReplyDeleteI think winter is coming early. There was eight inches on the second highest spot in WV the first weekend in October.
Keep warm.
Lookin' good!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Never experienced snow. It must be lovely too. :)
ReplyDeleteI was hoping to wake up to snow, but there was nothing...Love your red photos-beautiful!
ReplyDeleteEep! Snow already... I love the shades of Autumn and I really do love the beauty of snow on the first day but then the cold... Yikes!
ReplyDeleteThank-you, Dawn!
ReplyDeleteThanks Carletta. It's looking like we might make it all the way to November without really seeing snow> I can't remember the last time that happened.
Thanks Amanda! :)
G, it can be very beautiful, and peaceful too. All the world becomes serenely quiet under a thick blanket of snow.
Thank-you, Swanksi. I'll enjoy it when it arrives here, but I'm in no hurry. :)
Daenel, I'm with you there. I'm not a fan of being always a little cold, even when inside a heated space, snd driving can be treacherous in a snowy foothills town. Will just have to look on the bright side and have my camera ready!
Those are some truly beautiful photos!! I love fall and all the colors of it. I'm not ready for snow, but it never waits for me to be ready. When it comes, I will think it's beautiful, too.
ReplyDeleteChristina, Ma Nature has her own agenda, for sure. Guess it's up to us to try to see the silver lining. :)
ReplyDeleteWow sue!
ReplyDeleteIncredible!!
We're seeing the cold weather here too. Brr
Very nice! (I'm going to ignore the part about snow...)
ReplyDeleteThanks Leighann! It's just about *that* time, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteRobin, that's probably wise. You and I will have plenty of time to complain to each other about the weather soon enough!
Such lovely colours! Autumn is so beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking part in the Shades of Autumn Photo Challenge :)
Thanks Satakieli! It's given me an excuse to get out in my garden and capture some of its beauty, so thank-you for that! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch light and natural pictures. Great interpretations!
ReplyDeleteAlita
Thank-you Alita! I really had fun with this challenge.
ReplyDeleteYou captured the beauty of autumn in every one of these photos. My favorite is the one you entered for the Shades of Autumn challenge. I love the lighting in it. We live in the northeast and we are in for some early snow today - 6-10 inches. eeek, not ready for that. i was hoping to enjoy the fall colors for a bit longer.
ReplyDeleteLove the shot of the red berry....colors are all so warm....unlike the weather:-)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Tish! I'm bracing myself for the cold white stuff here too! But 6-10 inches?!?! Eeek is right!
ReplyDeleteGotmycamera, thanks! I'm holding onto the warmth of these photos! Soon I'll be holding onto a hot cup of tea everywhere I go.
I'm just not ready for snow and winter yet. Your shots are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful pictures, Sue. Love the reds of autumn, they are definitely my favorite. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images! I love the light and that gorgeous bokeh ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Teresa. I'm not ready yet either, but I don't know if I ever could be.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jen! I love the reds too. Harder to find here than back home - I miss Maple trees!
Thanks Melissa! I learned a new term today: "bokeh". :)
I love the leaves that are a bright red! That brings back memories! They are all such great pictures!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! I'm especially in love with the third one down...stunning <3
ReplyDeleteAnd, thanks for pinning me ;)
Thanks Barbara. I love the bright reds too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tezzie. I got so excited when I saw that shot through the lens. :)
Fabulous photos! I love the one with the yellow flower and beautiful bokeh!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cedar!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I really do miss fall :(
ReplyDeleteThank-you, Lane. We had our first snowfall this morning - I'm missing fall too! :)
