Glass bead necklace and earrings.
For my sister, B.
We picked out some beads on my last trip to visit her
so I could make her something to go with this fabric:
What do you think?so I could make her something to go with this fabric:
It's so pretty I had a hard time letting it go.

Gorgeous! I love that necklace!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Greta! Had a hard time getting a decent photo of it, but I just love how it turned out.
ReplyDeleteLove that! Blue is my favorite color in the world!!! I would have had a hard time letting that go too.
ReplyDeleteJen, for me it's a toss up between green and blue. I'm going to make myself a green one, very much like sis's blue one! :)
ReplyDeleteLove it! The blue is very striking and matches very well with that dress.
ReplyDeleteOh by the way, I didn't know you could make jewellery? You're very talented! :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, love the color.
ReplyDeleteStunning. That is real love, handing something so pretty over as a gift :)
ReplyDeleteG, I have made many of my own pieces, but typically end up giving it all away. Thought about selling some of it at one point, but then decided to have a baby instead. Hard to bead around small fingers. Jack's at the age now where I can take it up again, and he even beads along with me!
ReplyDeleteThanks Alison! :)
ReplyDeleteStasha, it was definitely a labour of love, making that necklace and then letting it go. Totally worth it.
Gorgeous!! That is an amazing necklace!
ReplyDeleteThanks Barbara! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty! I wish I had a sister that would make me pretties like that! I am the sister that gets to make the pretties :)
ReplyDeleteyep, definitely would have be tempted to keep it for myself!
ReplyDeletethat's under the big assumption that I could even make something so pretty (that didn't grow in the dirt and basically do most the work.)
I love the necklace. You are very talented. It is beautiful striking color of blue. I can definitely see why you had a hard time letting it go.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that colour! So rich and beautiful, I would have had a hard time letting go too!
ReplyDeleteSaying hi from the VB WW hop :)
WTFH, my sis has made me many pretties over the years. She is WAY talented. It was high time I returned the favour! :)
ReplyDeleteRory-lol. Yes, this did require quite a bit of work, but it was totally worth it. Not hard once you know how!
Marisa, thanks! There are so many colours in this necklace that just don't come through in a photo. I miss it already.

ReplyDeletehow pretty! love the color.
ReplyDeleteHey Sue! I am so very glad you were able to let it go! I am the lucky reipient and I agree with everyone...very beautiful - the photo does not completely capture how lovely, goes perfectly with the dress, my baby sister is very talented, and very kind to part with it!
ReplyDeleteLove it!
Hey, I think I recognise that background in the photo...
A billion x's and o's

Hi Elisabeth. Isn't that fabric fabulous?
ReplyDeleteThanks Jodi.
I'm glad you like it B! :) It was my pleasure to make it for you. Can't wait to see pics of it with your suit too.
xo
I love the striking blue. I think it goes well with a little black dress too, or a deep red one. What nifty hands you have! :P
ReplyDeleteMWPS, I never even considered this necklace with a red dress. That would be stunning!
ReplyDeleteThe necklace is GORGEOUS! I, too, was thinking of it with a contrasting colour like deep red, or even coral or orange.
ReplyDeleteThanks Amanda! Now that you've both mentioned it, I can definitely picture it with reds and oranges!
ReplyDeleteTruly a labor of love. Like the rest of them said, i'd have a hard time letting it go.
ReplyDeleteThanks Janie. Can't wait to make myself one... but so many other things to do first. One day!
ReplyDelete---Royal blue is my favorite color of all time. Lovely. X
ReplyDeleteThanks Chick! :)
ReplyDeleteI love it! That color is so vibrant and the way the necklaces sorta twists and interlaces on itself is so interesting. You are quite talented my friend!
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks Janice! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful necklace and material. I absolutely LOVE the colour!
ReplyDeleteThanks Bruna! My sister made herself a dress from this fabric. It changes tones as it catches the light - very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou made those??? Can you make me one??? ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Leighann! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I can Rach (after I make myself one)! Just brings me some beads that you like and look after my child for the day, and you'll have yourself a beautiful necklace! :)
